In that critical moment, Alphas.EXE’s Devin Gilligan drew a foul on Lausanne’s Jonothan Dubas, giving Dubas two chances from the charity stripe. With Dubas missing both shots, Gilligan (aka “Captain Clutch”) sealed the victory with a strong baseline drive.

A pivotal 6-point run, capped by a heavily contested deep two from Suzuki for Alphas.EXE, broke the stalemate. Despite early fouls that allowed Hangzhou to stay within reach, the Alphas.EXE’s duo of Ryo Ozawa and Devin Gilligan turned the tide, as Hangzhou’s Filip Kaluderovic struggled from the field (20% shooting from two-point range in the final).
With just over a minute remaining and Alphas.EXE holding a 19–12 lead, Devin Gilligan drove hard to the basket, sinking a contested layup while drawing a foul. Granted two free-throw attempts, Gilligan made his second shot to seal the win. His MVP-caliber performance delivered a 21–12 victory for Alphas.EXE, earning them Round 1 of the 3×3.EXE Super Premier title and setting the stage for Round 2 in Thailand on March 1st and 2nd.
