Saigon Heat.EXE – Team Preview

Finals Seed: 10th

Round 1 Placing: 9th

Round 2 Placing: 12th

Saigon Heat.EXE enters the 3×3.EXE Super Premier Final as an unpredictable force, capable of dominating on the boards but struggling with turnovers and late-game execution. Despite a 1-3 record, they have the size and physicality to challenge top teams, averaging 15.3 rebounds per game (tied for 2nd overall). However, their 8.3 turnovers per game have repeatedly cost them in crunch time.

In Round 1, they opened with a statement win over Shoot It Dragons.EXE (21-13), powered by Denhym Brooke’s dominant two-way performance (11 points, 8 rebounds, 2 blocks, 1 steal). But in a must-win game against Nunawading Red.EXE, they failed to match their earlier intensity, allowing Nunawading to dictate the tempo and close out a decisive 21-10 victory.

By Round 2, Saigon Heat.EXE remained competitive but struggled to close out tight games. Denhym Brooke (7 points, 4 rebounds) led the charge against Hachinohe Dime.EXE, but foul trouble and fatigue proved costly, leading to a narrow 16-14 defeat. The biggest question heading into Hachinohe is whether Faredj Messaoudi (6.0 RPG, tied for 6th overall) will return, as his presence in the paint could be a game-changer.

Saigon Heat.EXE now faces Beefman.EXE in their first-round matchup, a team known for quick perimeter play and efficient offense. Can they tighten up their ball control, capitalize on their size, and secure a crucial opening win?

Keys to Victory:

Limit turnovers: Their high turnover rate has been their Achilles’ heel—valuing possessions will be crucial.
Dominate the glass: If Faredj Messaoudi plays, they must lean into their rebounding edge to control second-chance opportunities.
Denhym Brooke factor: With Brooke as their primary scorer and rim protector, getting him good looks will be essential.

Game 1: vs. Beefman.EXE (7th vs. 10th)
